Rapid tournament evolution: In just 15 years, the international equestrian tournament in Basel has progressed from a four-star show jumping competition in 2010 to a five-star event in 2011, then to a stage of the FEI World Cup circuit in 2019. In 2025, it will host the FEI World Cup Finals in show jumping, dressage, and vaulting, marking a major milestone in the history of equestrian sports.
Attractive sports program: The 2025 Basel International Horse Show offered a rich sports program, with nine five-star show jumping events, eight of which count towards the world ranking. The highlight was the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ held on Sunday, with a prize money of 330,000 CHF.
Presence of Swiss talents: The tournament showcases renowned Swiss riders, such as Steve Guerdat and Martin Fuchs, who participate in show jumping and dressage competitions, thus contributing to the excellence of Swiss equestrian sports.
Musical attractions: In addition to equestrian competitions, the 2025 Basel International Horse Show offered evening concerts featuring Swiss artists such as Jan Seven Dettwyler, Stefanie Heinzmann, and Pegasus, providing a complete cultural experience for spectators.
